Note that if you live in a cold climate where it gets below freezing in the winter, you will need to drain the pipes of all water and seal them. Water freezing in the lines will rupture the pipes and make them useless for the next season. If you are uncomfortable doing this work yourself arrange for a maintenance contract to close the system in the fall and re-open it in the spring. Underground sprinklers are a great way to ensure that your lawn gets enough water and all areas of the lawn are covered.
